In 2007 Allocco was one of the short-listed directors picked by Steven Spielberg from a world-wide search of over 12,000 directors for his US TV series “On The Lot,“ for FOX TV, produced by Spielberg and Mark Burnett.

This year Allocco directed and edited 30 commercial PSA’s for GLAAD featuring over forty celebrities including Kevin Bacon, Kira Sedgwick, Sally Fields, William Baldwin, Graham Norton, Alan Cumming and Ellen Degeneres. Allocco also directed and edited the one hour documentary, Roxy: The Last Dance, which will air later August 2008 on LOGO.

Allocco has written & directed several short films including Joseph Henry, which won “Best of Category“ at the Damah Film Festival, the “Audience Choice Awards“ at the Hollyshorts Film Festival, the "Best Director" and "Best Script" awards at the Directors Chair Film Festival, the “Best Cinematography“ at the Staten Island Film Festival, the “2nd Place Prize” at the IndieProducer Short Film Contest, “Best Super Short” at the Anchorage International Film Festival and won the “Special Jury Award” at the USA Film Festival. His short screenplay for the film was a finalist in the Cyclone Entertainment Group’s 8th Annual Screenwriter’s Project, American Gem Short Script Competition, 12th Annual Writer’s Network Screenplay and Fiction Competition and The Bare Bones Script-2-Screen Fest. His first film Delivered, won “Best Comedic Short” and was runner-up for “Best Short” and at the International Festival of Cinema and Technology’s 2004 World Tour. It was also nominated for the “Grand Jury Award” at The Bare Bones International Film Festival. His short film The Mirror screened at over The Mirror” screened at over 30 festivals and received honorable Mention at The 2006 IFCT for best screenplay. His feature script 5 lbs of Pressure was a finalist in The 9th Annual Fade In Awards, The Indiefest Film Festival Chicago and The Beverly Hills Film Festival, a semi- finalist at the 2007 Cinequest Film Festival and The Bare Bones International Film Festival, and received honorable mention at the 2005 Cinequest Film Festival.

Allocco joined Red Thread Productions in early 2005 and produced and edited The Best of the GLAAD Awards for Logo. Prior to joining Red Thread Allocco was the associate producer, segment director and editor of the TV series Repo Men Stealing for a Living on TLC starring Vincent Pastore. He was also the associate producer of The Talent Collector for AMC and helped pitch and develop the show. He has also directed and edited numerous TV pilots, commercials and industrials.

With an extensive background in the visual arts, new media, and music, Allocco began his career as a musician and singer/songwriter. He was the driving force behind two bands that were under contract with MCA and Def Jam/Mercury records. Law and Order released two international records with MCA, Guilty of innocence, 1988 and Rites of Passage, 1992, and toured with acts such as Pearl Jam and Blind Melon. In 1989, after the band hosted 30 writers at a national press conference in Memphis, TN, Allocco was awarded honorary citizen and given the key to the city.

In 1995 Dogma was signed to Def Jam/Mercury and released Feeding the Future in1997. Both bands toured the US and Europe, and had several songs reach top ten on college radio. Allocco performed in, and helped develop five music videos, three of which appeared on MTV, where he made several guest appearances.

In 1997 Allocco joined Media Jelly and produced and designed numerous acclaimed new media projects, as well as some of the Web's most popular and award-winning destinations, including Goosebumps, The Magic School Bus, and Fox's Dr. Dolittle 2. As a writer, illustrator, and Flash animator he created original content, developed characters, treatments, storyboards and series bibles. Allocco was also the creator of several original animated series including The Vanderfuls, and Bratface and Waffle.
